Grand trine in a birth chart

What it is

A grand trine is three planets, each pair a trine (about 120 degrees). Every point is tied to the other two. House 9 flags that closed triangle from the natal aspects, using the same orbs as the rest of the chart.

The three planets often share one element (fire, earth, air, or water). The detector itself is the three mutual trines, not the element label.

What it is not

Two trines that do not close on a third planet are not a grand trine. A kite is a grand trine plus a fourth planet opposing one point and sextiling the other two. That is a separate label.

How to read one

Trines are ease. A grand trine can be talent that does not ask to be practiced, which is the quiet downside. Look at the signs and houses to see which life rooms it lives in.
